My Goals

I hope to learn as much as I can from this class. When I was looking through the syllabus and saw the material we would be learning I was clueless. I hope to learn as much as I can and use it in my future classroom.

  1. Hi, I am not sure how this works at all. I already feel lost. The survey was a joke. How embarrasing. I know nothing about computers. Though is all seems very interesting it is also challenging. Wish you the best of luck!

The instructions for your first blog post indicate "Your first blog entry should outline your goals for this course. What do you already know and what do you want to learn? Explain why you chose these goals? Be specific. Don't include ideas such as learn as much as you can or learn about the computer. These are too vague and don't allow you to judge whether you actually have met these goals."

The advantages of more specific goals is that it makes it easier to create an action plan on what you will do to meet those goals and to determine whether you have met those goals at the end of the course. Please rethink about what you already know and can build on to succeed in this class--both about technology and pedagogy--and post an update to your goals. You can post a new post or simply click to edit the current post.

I look forward to working with you to meet these goals.

I think you need to concentrate on what you do know that will help you succeed in this course. What do you know about learning theories, lesson plans, child development? You are familiar with computers and various software programs. You are able to log on to the computer and complete an Internet search. You are able to navigate your Blackboard course. Think about what you do know that will help you learn the new programs and applications? You were able to successfully post a comment to this blog, right?
